A New Year, full of good intentions

Jeremy Bartlett's LET IT GROW blog Posted on 3 January, 2012 by Jeremy Bartlett1 November, 2018

Allotment - springI don’t believe in making New Year resolutions.

However New Year seems as good a time as any to start writing about plants and fungi and the sheer pleasure they give me, whether I’m observing them in the countryside or other people’s gardens, or growing them myself.

Often they will provide me with food, as I grow them on my allotment, in the back garden or in the local community garden, or forage for them as food.

But I’m equally interested in plants and fungi that have purely ornamental value, or are poisonous, or both.

I aim to look at plants from a very personal viewpoint, but I will also draw on some of the wonderful sources of information that already exist in books and on the internet.

I hope you’ll join me on this enjoyable journey.
